The kettle has measurements on the outside, so you know approximately how much water you are going to boil. With it being glass you know exactly how much water is in the kettle without having to open a lid and look inside. The kettle has a lid on the top, and the water activates the lid to flip down. I like the fact it is the weight of the water that activates the lid to open. When you take the kettle away from the water the lid automatically flips back up. The flip lid can easily be taken off the top of the kettle as it is not clipped or fixed on to anything. The kettle handle is big enough to grip hold of with plenty of space between the glass kettle and the handle making it safe and less chance of touching the hot glass and burning yourself. The kettle is cordless and sits on an electric kettle base. This means once the kettle has boiled you can walk any distance away from the plug, socket and base to use the boiling water.
